So who on here has a good friend or family member that works at a Toyota dealership? I'm looking to get the best deal I can on a new 4Runner. I've been doing my research along with my boss making some calls. We got a pretty good idea of a price but thought I'd see if someone in the mtb family knew of someone near and dear to their hearts. Thanks!

This also means the Helement is gonna need to be sold....

I believe we talked about this before? Your best bet is to go through Costco. I believe we saved close to $10k on the Tundra. You will not find a better deal.

Seriously though. The best part is no haggling. In and out in 45 minutes.

Yes, through Costco, Toyota was only going to give me $2K off the 4Runner. Spent a few days negotiating with a few dealers and came away empty handed. Ed got a great deal. 10k off a Tundra and only 2k off a 4Runner which are priced comparably.

Costco sold apx 500,000 cars last year.
So their buying power is greater than any dealer .
The 4runner is a good looking vehicle.. Was checking it out there other day.

It seems like 4Runners are the current vehicle of choice for a lot of the people I know. Everyone seems to love 'em. At least three people I know bought one in the last year or so.

With me, Costco sent my information to a local dealer and went from there. So I don't know if certain Costco's do the sales themselves. But mine didnt.

I picked up mine from Toyota of Orange through their online vehicle inquiry. It sends you right to the internet/fleet group and you get to bypass all of the salesmen. They actually beat both Cars.com and Costco's pricing. 4Runners are tough to negotiate on as they sell so quickly. I negotiated on a few that were sold before I could close the deal. It looks like you're already set on the 4Runner, but just in case you want some input, I really like mine. 2016 Trail Premiuim 4WD. The only negative is the crappy gas mileage.

Love my old 4th gen. New is spencive. After mods my MPG's went down to around 13 mpg, but I didn't buy it for the gas mileage. And I bought 2 new hondas for commuting.

Nice! Do the new models not come with the TRD wheels?

Only the PRO comes with those nifty black TRD wheels. And according to the salesperson at Tustin Toyota you can't get those wheels as an accessory.

You can buy the black wheels as an option. I have inquired about that.

We were told that we couldn't get the TRD package on the 2WD Tundra. Guess who has the TRD package on her 2WD Tundra.

    BTW congratulations!

What a beauty! 4Runner is #1 on my list for next new car! Can we ask how much you paid? :)

Tundra is not in as much demand as a 4Runner, that's why they were able to get that price. Look up the deals on the Toyota site, you can get 0.9% to 2.9% financing on a Tundra. They have NO finance deals on the $runner, just a college grad rebate and a military rebate. So in the end 2k off a 4Runner ain't too bad. On our own we were able to get $500 below invoice from several dealers but then my bosses friend who is a head muckity muck at Toyota of America made a call to a dealer of our choice. Deal done VIP treatment all the way. It sure is nice to know people who know people! LOL
