The old-timers know to let the tool do the work. I've worked awfully hard to get the "Chris Froome" cannons.

Annnndddd good to go with the full four bike carrier! Picked up a used extension in Orange last night, and fits great. One of the two bolts that attach it doesn't work (nut broke off internally), but I think it's sorta' okay without it. Now able to put four bikes on the back, and can put two more on the roof in a pinch (hassle). So stoked! Thanks for all the advice and help on this one!

Now can we derail this thread?

No - probably should close it to preserve it as the only thread never to be derailed.

    I like my T2.

Now that the rack sticks out so far when it's in the 4 bike mode, it might be wise to wire up some brake/tail lights on that sucker. Or at least a strip of reflective tape, I would hate to see thousands of dollars of bikes get smashed! BTW Nice work @OTHRider !

Here's a pic with the rack in open-carry mode. Working wonderfully, thanks again for your help @OTHRider !!!
I have it slathered with reflective tape @doublewide Only one real surface when it's down, but when up I have the length of every carrier covered.
