I threw a serious Terrible two's style fit at work today just before I left for a meeting...
When I got back there was a bag of coffee and a sixer of Lagunitas' "...Sumpin' Sumpin' on my desk. And I felt like a d*ck.
Then I warned my boss that she was rewarding poor behavior.

Going to Starbucks on a mission for the wife. She is in dire need of a Medicine Ball (whatever the hell that is, I just get what she tells me). I pull in, there's a parking spot right in front. Blinker on, wait for the car to go by, and the next guy behind him swoops in and parks. Really???

There's 3 more parking spaces where he came from, so I pull in and park. He jumps out and says, "I'm so sorry, I honestly didn't see you!!

You weren't expecting that, were you? Come on, admit it. I certainly wasn't.

I couldn't do anything but say "It's all good. Have a great night!" I think that made him feel worse.

 

Looks like a lot of us are at home, typing on a computer on a Saturday night...

Just took a stroll through STR....almost got a contact high. They're all passed out and no fun at all.

The wife's laptop has apparently had a lobotomy while no one was looking...thank (insert favored deity) I managed safe mode and critical file copy.

 

Browsing a site called "Yesterland" (www.yesterland.com) A look back at an evolving Disneyland. Having grown up within 8 miles of Disneyland I find it fascinating to rediscover what I'd forgotten. The most striking thing of it all?

Look at the pictures from the 1950's and 1960's, compared to the ones from the 2000's. People, on average, are much much fatter. We know this, of course. But once you see it...
