I can't find anyone whose work is as good as mine. And no I'm not bragging. I think I have the time to do a job perfectly versus a contractor is always under the wire. If I have a problem with a piece of baseboard... I will redo the work. A contractor has to say "it's good enough or I have to charge you extra". And I don't blame them for it either. That whole bathroom redo - new ceiling fans and ductwork, new drywall patching texturing and painting (including ceiling), new hardwood baseboards (finished), new toilet, new vanity, new top, new backsplash, new mirror, new lighting, new travertine flooring, new electrical including dimmers, new plumbing including all new wall valves and fixtures, new wall accessories, etc... cost me less than $3,500.

Oh I refinished the door, too...

My problem is if I create a blemish and leave it, I will see it everytime I enter the room. Anyways I love how the project looks like schist until the last week, then everyone say's WOW

The solution is not to create a blemish :)

Don't get me started on the hassle involved with trying to fix old problems. The rear wall in this bathroom is horribly out of plumb and wavy - horrible construction from the beginning using crappy studs and bad workmanship. I was going to rip all the old drywall out and plumb the wall. Instead I just floated a 3/4" new surface that solved 80% of the problem. So the wall is at least flat, but it is still out of plumb :) I can learn to live with imperfection if I didn't cause it :)
