It’s not a difficult ride. It’s mostly fire toad with about 2 miles of technical singletrack.

    It’s a pretty ride.

Not sure whether I’m gonna do this or not. March has turned into a very busy month.

I'm thinking about doing the 35er. Haven't been out there, and have wanted to.
Will depend on the weather, really. If it ends up being unseasonably hot (the new normal) I'll be less likely to.

The first year was one of the first times I took my phone out to snap pictures during an event. I love the way this ride changes as you climb.

If you ride the single speed, it will by physically challenging... I think we gain 3000 feet in the first 17 miles with pavement, sand wash of death, and chunky fireroad.

At the 25 mile turn around, there's something like 2000 feet left to climb on the way back.

The technical section is optional, and only about 1/2 did it last year. I was alone the whole time I was on it... And it is chunky. Think Cannell Trail chunky, if not more.

If any of you guys are thinking about it, I would sign up soon. They sold out quickly last year with the 150 rider limit.

We are working on increasing that 150 limit, but at this point it is still set at 150.

5 1/2 weeks out and the extended forecast shows a high of 70 degrees and sunshine.

I love reading that ride review. Captures the day real well.
