Music... I Listened to Some

I believe there are two kinds of people in this world. One knows what record this is and the other is like my wife and freaks out when they hear it.

 

This has been on pretty regular rotation lately. Caught there set at the Beauty Bar during punk rock bowling and was hooked.

Thats the ultimate compliment cuz Copeland is one of my drum heroes!! Dont think I could ever come close to him but I appreciate it, Thanks amigo!

Cool Cisco!!! Me and Mikie are drummers. Stewart Copeland was such a pioneer and tight as ever!! My faves are steve gadd, jeff porcaro, dave weckl, vinnie coliuta. You were layin down a nice groove!!!

I'm no drummer, but this guy blows my mind. Or maybe it's past tense. Big Country was known for one song in the States, but they had about ten albums of amazing celtic-influenced rock. Lead singer Stuart Adamson offed himself in 2001. Stay Alive....

Listen to songs The Seer, Porrohman, Where the Rose is Sown, Wonderland... Listen to the drums if you can find a good recording or have a sound system hooked up to your computer. Don't judge by the 80s Scottish New Wave clothes and look.

 

I have never been straight edge but love the music.

I have heard the couple new songs from NOFX and I think this next album is going to be a little more somber with his recent sobriety. They all sound really good but I think he had a big internal revelation.

 

Listened on the drive in this morning. All happy families are alike!

They did not play any new songs, but Fat Mike was really cranky in between songs and mocking parents for bringing kids to the show.

 

My son (15) is really fascinated with my record collection and my sad old punk dude tales of sleeping in squats and having my parents pick me up from LA or the I.E. As a teen ( they were super loving and supportive.) but, his favorite thing is the progression of punk bands. Tonight we mapped the progression of Area 51 to pretty girls make graves.

 

Just cuzz I heard it on the radio and can't get it out of my head!
