If you're asking, I used to live in Palms back in the early 80's and my roommate used regularly to drag me to Tito's Tacos. IMHO, their tacos are only a small step above JIB/TB. The trucks on Castaic Road are far better IMHO. I have not tried all of them, but have tried some of them. Several of the trucks are owned/run by the same person, and he also owns at least two of the local mexican restaurants. I see cooks/workers from the various outlets at others as they seem to rotate them.

Haha yes I couldn't agree more. Sometimes a crappy greasy taco really hits the spot though and Tito's and JIB run pretty neck & neck for greasiest Colin cleansers. TB is so bad I won't feed it to my dog. Only sampled a couple of the trucks myself. We do have some pretty good choices for Mexican food in our fine town don't we...

I'm out. Haven't even been able to look at my bike for two weeks; being a project manager has its downsides. I doubt I'd keep up for the first mile. Have fun, dudes and dudettes!!:thumbsup:

    I'm probably in.

Hear the hesitation in my voice there?!?!?

Worst-case scenario I can bail at the 19 mile mark (top of Lizard). Or just skip that portion and get a head start on the return leg.

9:00 start time is a big plus!!!

If I Metrolink over, train gets in @ 8:42, which puts me at the trailhead at 9:00 straight up... $10 weekend pass rocks!

I don't mind the drive down in the morning, but going back home in the afternoon is not a good way to finish a great day!

Its also Bommer Cyn Access Day... Could (still!) add, Fox Run, Rabbit Run etc etc - think of the added elevation possibilities!

I'll be there for some of the festivities.
I'm going to start earlier (probably around 7:30), and head back home around 11 ish.
I haven't figure out my route. I might start in Newport. Climb Buck Gully + Ridge Park, and go from there....... All that might change in a few minutes.

(the 9 am start is a waste of 2.5 hours of sunlight)

I agree, I’d prefer pre-dawn starts....but the turnout usually suffers. I figured a later start may get more attendants.

I believe you are right about the late start especially if we are hoping to attract riders from the "wrong side" of the Orange Curtain (JK).
We will find out on Saturday.

I am out, too. The Bluefin are still biting and I have passed up the opportunity to go pull on some too many times this season, so I am gonna jump on a boat Friday evening and fish all day Saturday.

Have a great ride everyone.
