Mt. Pinos Friday 8/7

Jennifer and I are going to ride Mt. Pinos out and back and she has offered to drive us up for a bonus shuttle afterwards. For those of you that don't know it's around an 18 mile round trip consisting of mostly a climb mostly DH return then the shuttle will be about 7 miles mostly down hill.

Depending on my upcoming test and if I pass it or postpone it, I'd be up for it!!

Very nice offer... I've never done it, and I would be tempted if my hand were 100%. I'm sticking to the roads for now. :-(

Great idea......Orange to Frazier Park, should be what....a 45 minute pedal. :lolno:

 

Google Maps says that I can make it from RSM on the bike in a little over 16 hours with 9,000 feet of climbing... Piece of cake!

 

^^It take Jason longer - he rides a single speed. Spin spin spin ...

 

Pfffft - it usually only takes J about 7 hours to climb 9000' on his ss, and that would be a good warm up for his 3000' of climbing on Mt. Pinos. :thumbup:

 

If he rode the mountain ranges for sure!!

 

I'm in, if PT goes well and I have feeling back in my right arm by then.

Do you have room for one more and what time are you planning on starting?

 

Change of plans. It is just going to be an out and back. You have to earn the DH. You are more than welcome to join us. Meeting at the Y at 9.
