Long version PO loop Chase scene

For the Strava geeks out there. Sidewalk and I cracked the top 25 on this run. We were super excited about it then immediately saw a bear on the warm down up to Middle control.

 

Congrats! Looks dusty up there!

 

Thw bear was a bonus for a fast run...

 

Little bit, but traction was better then I expected.

 

Dust is good, means we are riding in the dirt. Mmmm dirt.

That's not even all of it. Just what we hit on a quick after work ride.

 

Where, exactly is the very start of this video? I don't recognize the the turn off in the fire road to access the ST?

 

I've done Sart, but I must have not done that part of it, otherwise I would remember it, seems like a hole lot of flow for a long long while! If not than those must be e-bikes.

 

It flows the opposite direction than the rest of SART. It starts about a mile past the Post Office at the Helicopter pad.

From The Oaks Restaurant (or post office), go up the fire road about another mile. The second split on the right (first is uphill and a dead end) is the start of that segment. It is a downhill double track to a clearing. At the end of the clearing is the start.

You can also stay on the fire road to the other side of Constance Peak and catch the single track on the other side. A bit of a climb to the top of Constance then another mile and a half or so of single track down to the start of that segment, even better!

 

Josh, could you elaborate on this option? Any map/Strava of it? Sounds like it could be a nice addition on to the regular PO Loop that I know.

 

I just noticed there isn't a segment, which is weird. I'll create one when I get home and share the link. But for now, you can reference this ride. If you look at the THG start, you can see where we enter going the opposite direction later on.
