Hmmm maybe? I was there when someone took a scary tumble on the upper section.
I was also there on three separate occasions when people took a tumble while climbing up the lower section. One got airlifted with a collapsed lung...
You sure about wanting to ride with me?

 

Lung is working flawlessly. Just checked capacity a few minutes ago....

 

I motored up Lower once and I've pounded down Middle. There was a solid 3 foot drop at one point on Middle that took me by surprise and and completely compressed my suspension the one time I rode it.

 

Helicopter rides are FUN!

Yeah, did you ever hear it go off back in the olden days?

 

When - exactly - was the last time that thing sounded for an actual air raid?

 

Probably about 1980, possibly into the early 80s.

I should look up the history of this particular siren to find out.

 

Really? We had an actual, honest-to-Mergetroid, no-sh!t air raid over the Los Angeles Basin in the 1980s???

I never knew. But then, most of the 1980s I was in the western Pacific, San Diego, or Utah.

 

No, no. They used to test it monthly.

 

Elementary school in the mid 1970's the sirens would go off around 10am and all us kids would practice getting under our desks and kissing our asses goodbye.
I never heard this exact one since I grew up in what is now Korea town.
I remember it was kinda of a regular thing. More than just once a month.

Chino Hills. Thought Raptor Ridge/Faultline would be too overgrown so took Ranger Ridge instead. No difference. At some points the trail completely disappeared.
