I'm Confused About the Picture Slot Machine

This slot machine thing is confusing! I get all excited and then I realize its an old post!

Never dislike the slot machine. The slot machine is your friend. It motivates you to get out and get-r-done. But remember, the slot machine is always the past. If it was a "time" machine then the pics would be from the future...

 

Maybe the dates on posts should be in BOLD print so it gets your attention WHEN the post happened.

 

Or at the top of the post, rather than the bottom so you don't have to scroll down the whole thing before realizing it's old.

I'm confused.
If it's a pic in the upper right hand corner slot machine... it's history.
If, it is in the ride report section.... it's history.
Heck, if it is a Pic at all, it means . . . . . . . it's history.
As well, go to the top of the page and look directly under the Title, "RR: Cannell Trail Round 2"

Its in the way people navigate the forum. I just click on "new posts" and see whats new.
It doesnt indicate that its actually a way old topic.
You just read the post because its new, but dont realize its in response to a year old post.
It applies to all posts, not just the pics.

You can't see the date clearly, even in your example the date is a very light color, that's why I suggested BOLD print.
Don't you see in our excitement to read a RR we can easily overlook the date, UNLESS it stands out!!

Ha ha ha. You guys don't believe me that I did a lot of those "cyclo cross style mounts and dismounts". It wasn't because I saw you. It was to scare away the cramps.

If you look at the post above the one that the Pic Slots take you to, you will see the date......




But like @Mikie says....these are all posts from the past. Some are older than others, but always in the past.

Umm.. I'm trying to post a ride report from a future ride but the photos won't load. Do they have to be in my camera, or will my imagination suffice?

Duh! I mistook it to being in trail head! When it said round 2 I was hoping it was coming up! My bad. Mikie your just too damn smart! Good thing you are around to keep us straight! I do like the bold Scan request though.

 

Maybe my vision is worsening with age, well not maybe. Contrast makes things easier to see, and this does worsen with age. Herz do you ever get caught thinking a post is recent when it is actually old??

I always look at the date, my friend... I think I got burned necroposting on another forum years ago. I was shamed and ridiculed to the point of needing therapy.

Oh - and I sure am jealous of @Mikie 's August 20, 2016 Cannell ride! (Re-rail attempt)
