I will accept your claim of non-creepiness (even if you go by Hill^Billy and ride with bar middles ;)) and thanks for the compliment! I happen to agree, but I am highly biased. :inlove:

Not long really. Was going to put 2016 into it but... too much thought.

Does Ninja ride a black bike with a fender and no front brake? Two times down Hillyer and SM, some of the best MTBing right there.

Had a great New Year's Day ride. 11 of us shuttled from Eaton Saddle hitting Upper and Middle Merrill then took the Mt Lowe connector over to Sunset and El Prieto and finished at JPL. One broken derailleur, a broken chain and a front blowout. Also one over the side at the bottom of El Prieto. Thankfully he survived with only a scratch.Screenshot_2016-01-01-21-38-55-1.png

The youngsters at Squeaky Wheel flaked on me  for Golden Eagle so I slept in as well. Woke up just in time to do a 16 mile out on back on the Acton Trail. Great ride! The new bike said "What Death Chute:cool:?" and rolled it like it was riding out my driveway:thumbsup:! Cleaned all but 1 of the steep gully turns both directions too! You guys should have told me to get a new bike years ago:rolleyes:! The highlight of the ride happened at my turn-around point at the 1st switchback past the mine road. While I sat there munching a Clif Bar, the B-2 Bomber flew right over me on it's way back to wherever from the Rose Bowl! Seen it lots of times living in Lancaster and I'm still impressed!

Sad news though, I bailed on scan and the Vegas trip for Mon/Tues. 60%-70% chance of rain both days:cry:! scan may still give it a shot solo but it wasn't worth it for me. Next time scan!

Sweet gap jump over the drawbridge and back flip off the peak! You've been clearly downplaying your slopestyle skills.

    Cool little vid! TFPU

(every time I see TFPU I think STFU - which is absolutely the opposite)

Rode my bike in santiago oaks yesterday. Up to robber's peak down chutes and through roadrunner for a bit. Then BAM! Nude photo shoot! Happy New Year. Super crowded on New Year's day for such a ballsey move. No pun intended. No pics, sorry.

Mtnbikej's video got me looking at the Strava stats and pictures... The heat map made me remember some of the new areas I had the chance to ride this year: Camp Pendleton, Golden Eagle, The Merrils, GMR, Temecula (And Murrieta, Rox), Palm Springs, Pioneertown, Redlands, Catalina, etc... What a great year!

Rode my bike today. I forgot I left my lights on yesterday so I had a dead battery this morning. By the time I realized it, wife was gone and my neighbors were all sleeping.
My only option was to ride to the trailhead. Which is not a bad thing when you plan about it but today it was a last minute decision, I had to hammer from my place to the trail head. It got me some new PRs.
Meeting time was set at 8:30 and I got there at 8:40. It was perfect. Fran (scan) was there and ready to go, with 3 Hammerheads from OTB, Hans (El Presidente), Igor and Brian.
Good fun ride, with some chunk in it. Sorry no pics.

Good to finally ride with you Berni. You can jam on your +rigid bike. Great variety of trails there! I think the hammerheads contributed to me bonking:gag:. Lotta fun today!!

After my first post-flu ride yesterday, I wasn't feeling anything epic today, so begged and pleaded to get a kid to go with me.
Short loop in canyon right before sunset... totally fun!
Trying to get some miles in, but between illness, holidays, and now incoming rain, a little tough!

Went to CHSP for a small ride, wanted to save my legs for GMR tomorrow with a couple fast guys (I'm doomed). Telegraph, Raptor, Sidewinder, Bane Ridge, Skully and back. Yikes, turned out to be a bigger ride than I thought. Didn't think Skully was that long (new to me), Was going to include Southridge but decided to cut short. Back on Telegraph my front tire blew out. Never had that happen before and could not figure out why. Got to give a shout out to all the bikers and even hikers that asked if I needed help while changing the flat:thumbsup:. Earlier on there was a snake sleeping on the trail. Didn't think I'd see one today. Snake season already?

Rode my bike today with Da Booges, a former karate student of TomTheBomb from the freakin' 80s! Barrett Stoddard was...Barrett Stoddard: ever changing, buckthorn sprouting, rockfalling, trail sloughing, wild all-mountain riding! The lower third of Stoddard before reaching Cucamonga Truck Trail was overgrown until today! Da Booges and I took to some serious vegetation clearing, and we built a 10' rock, log, and earth ramp over two colluvial boulders, adding some welcome flow to the chunk. It was a good day.

Rode from Simi to Malibu Creek State Park to meet Jennifer and her running girls. She volunteered to be domestique and carry extra water for the girls on their 14 mile run. I caught up with them half way up Bulldog. Bulldog is a relentless climb and Jennifer was already having a tough time. I climbed to the top with the girls and made sure they had plenty of water then turned back to pick up Jenn. I told her they were fine and we would go back down and meet them in the park when they were through. Somehow I stopped my Strava and missed about 4.5 miles. Still had a great ride and looking forward to the next high miler.Screenshot_2016-01-03-13-30-26-1.png

I did a hike and bike with my GF Norma in the San Gabes. We hiked and biked up the LSM switchbacks to the ruins for some lunch.
She hiked down LSM switch backs and I got to descend Sunset and El P.
It was a great way to include her even though she doesn't mtn bike.
I also saw Cisco Roots, luis, and Bert heading up the trail at JPL parking. Great to see you guys! Hope you guys had a great ride!...

We did a Chino Hills run this morning. Pretty cold at the start, but warmed up nicely. Perfect riding conditions. Tried to hit as many of the climbs as we could in the time we had allotted to ride. There really is some fun stuff on the east side of the park.
