    Saw a king snake ..ummm
Down barnam.. one tear in eye..what a shame..
Down chutes.. nice run but not feeling it..
At bottom restesd instead of just going over the nice jump at the dry river bed..
Decided to jump after rest.. not enough speed ..bam.. left some skin...

Runkle, Albertson to China Flats and back from home. I felt like :poop:. I think I'm going to be passing another kidney stone. Oh well. Suffering on the bike is still better than work. :DIMG_20170908_122047_977.jpg

Rode through Oaks out to Weir canyon for a loop but cut it short due to my HR being too high. I went up Deer Weed rather than finishing the full Weir loop. Struggled to ride home from Weir, was hurting bad and had to stop a lot to get my HR down. As soon as I'd get it back down under 150 I'd start pedaling and within seconds it'd be back up over 185. I'm scared to ride tomorrow now, seriously thought I was going to have to call or ask for help it was that bad.

Headed out for a mundane run at my local standby (and by mundane, I mean, extremely lucky to have such fun trails so close by).

When I arrived at the top of Canyon Vistas - uh ohh.... cars parked all the way to the top of the hill. Dozens, no, scores, no, maybe 100! 90% of them did not have bike racks. Uh oh. What's happening?

Up to 5 Oaks. No other human encountered until the very top - two guys ready to hit Bong Drop. I'm not that courageous. Nice fun run down 5-O, except my rear brake was close to failing. Time for a brake bleed.

Up Wood Canyon, up Cholla - a few small groups of hikers - 4s and 5s, maybe a couple of groups of ten. A few bikes. Nothing unusual for a Saturday morning at Aliso.

Down Rock-It "Wheeeeeeee!" a couple of bikes. No hikers. Yay.

Coyote (group of ten hikers encountered). Up Mathis - then A-Ha! Here they are. About 50-75 hikers sporting various patriotic wear or flags strung out from Car Wreck to Top of the World. Must have been some sort of Patriot's Day meet-up hike. I didn't ask. Fortunately, I was able to pass them all on fireroad and did not encounter them on singletrack. Dropped meadow with only two hikers and one bike ascending. No problemo! Wheeeeee!

Dodged a bullet. Nice temps, no flies, a few bits of eye candy and some great trails. 15 mi. 2400' Bikes are fun!

I rode Aliso this morning also, and was not so lucky. Super crowded pretty much every turn I made. My Timber Bell helped a lot, otherwise I would have been miserable. To make matters worse, my dropper post leaked oil from somewhere, so I had to ride with the seat all the way down the entire time ... not fun up Mathis.

Still had fun overall, 15.8 miles and 2,621 ft ... and lots of eye candy. ;)

I was going to do Aliso, saw a million cars back at Canyon Vista and decided to turn around and do a Luge run. Luge is always fun.

@UPSed, do you take vitamins and supplements? I find that when I take them regularly (daily), I am passing something. It goes away when I stop taking them regularly. I do take them irregularly or I load up a few days before a planned activity. Everyone is different but this works for me. I wish I could pin it down on exactly which supplement(s)/vitamin(s)/element(s) my body is disposing of that is in excess but that would take a lot of effort. OK, I am done blabbing...

Yes. I take vitamin D 5000 iu as prescribed by my cardiologist. While researching kidney stones the last time I passed one it seemed that this was the only thing different I was doing that would have caused it. It appears that if that's what it was it has already passed and was much less painful than the last one.

Last night I can tell something was on Mrs. Watson's mind. I kept asking what was up. Finally she tells me she is going to Temecula and will be there all weekend. I said, "I know this." Then she says is there anyway you can ride more local and be home by 2:30 for our ranch animals. She don't ask much so I felt obligated. So @Voodoo Tom and i went back up to Wrightwood to try out his new Yeti (I let him tell you how it went). I was on my Yeti so we were the Yeti Brothers.

Weather was perfect sometimes cool, sometimes hot. But we got a good ride in...

Santiago Oaks this afternoon. Lots of ups and downs, sweat and smiles. 15 miles 2800 feet. Saw only three other riders the whole ride. alqays good to ride my bike. ESPECIALLY when there is no traffic on the trails!

Sounds like some SoCal trailage is getting handily dispatched. Good job storming it, guys

The weez had her funnest ride ever on her Bronson today. Nothing beats yer old lady crushing up and down and feeling the psyche! I hammered that GG Smash demo for all I was worth. Had to do Bergen Peak cuz we love it and good for demo reference. Killer sesh railing cheater bikes, not many users out and a light cloudburst and thunder for drama. :)
