Ha! That was the SAG where I met my friend, I rode from home so it was a good spot to re supply before the hot climb. The VIP tent was good, and everything taste even better when you don't have to pay for it...

SART - Anaheim. Took the Trance out for a spin. Now with 27.5/slicks instead of 26". Faster? Couldn't tell. 30 miles. God Bless America.

Was jonesin' for a road ride, so I did exactly that. Had a blast, too. The only time I got out of the road ring (50t chainring) was on Modjeska Grade. :whistling:

Have been non-riding for a while, just little errands around town. Decided today was the day to fix that! Ended up doing a 30 mile multi-surface loop up into Yucaipa and out into the canyons. It was a GREAT ride, but I picked up a headache about half way through. Luckily the climbing was done by that point, so I soft-pedaled for the return home. Took my Salsa set up with 27.5 road-plus WTB Horizons. Still trying to figure these tires out and if I like them over 700X40C tires. In theory they should be great, but in practice... well, we'll see...

Sometimes working in Del Mar doesn't suck.

Twice actually. First with my wife on our tandem. Just a cruise. Then again in a neighborhood loop to test out the road plus tubeless set up I put together. It has a slow leak somewhere in the tape I think, so I'm hoping to spray enough sealant up to plug it. Both were nice to get out, but I missed a perfect day for a big ride.

I have not done a metric in a while so me and a couple of buddies decided to knock out 100 km yesterday. Perfect weather for most of the day. It's cool that we can ride in the canyon and on the coast all on the same loop. Roadies can be fun too!
