That "doe" is the Queen of the Angeles. Ruler of all she can see from her throne atop Vetter Mtn.
She could have your gender changed-forcefully!

 

She can have the antlers (oops, almost said r**), I'll leave my Davy Crockett buckskin jersey at home and go with neon.

I'm not totin' my 1,400 gram shooter. Too unwieldy anyway with a 6 in barrel.

Saw them out last Saturday with their bow and arrows, this weeks starts the gun powder brigade! Be careful!

While on patrol this weekend, .. poor Bambie. bow hunters, they had to climb up Mt. Lowe road 6 miles the deer was down in a cyn. So,add another 3 miles. I guess they earned it.

 

Is the guy in the back holding up an apple? Delirious with success?

Takes some skills to take a deer in the open with a bow. Those guys must've been hiding in the bush all night!

Lots of hunters at the WW50. I was surprised how many I saw hiking up Manzanita.

 

I even saw a couple on GMR. Yes, on a paved road, looking up the hill. I told them I'd ride around the switchback and drive the deer down to them

 

Sitting up at the Tapia towers on Saturday morning chatting with @MTBHotRod & @dannomyte and up rolls a dually powerstroke diesel with a couple camo clad warriors. Rear fender was half tore off and still had bushes hanging from the hole that was ripped in it. Of course they wanted to know if we had seen any deer(Tapia towers wouldn't exactly be a prime hunting spot boys). At least they had a full ice chest in the bed of the truck cause they were in for a long day & I don't think they were going to be sneaking up on any deer in that rig.

 

A young bow hunter I met in New Mexico went barefoot for his final approach to a buck. Got it, too.

 

Yeah, I don't think me flying down the trail ringing my bell helped them out much for sneaking up on the hunt.

 

That's more like what I expect from most ANF "hunters"
