And for anyone thinking of tackling a genuine Mtnbikej Death March, this is the one... He offered a slow pace! Much nicer than the time he told me we couldn't stop at all for the first 23 miles and we were in the next county. :p

I may just opt for the pack this time. I'll probably do 48 ounces of plain water (mostly frozen) in the pack, and a 4 scoop bottle of Tailwind on the bike. I got that idea from one of Mr. @StrandLeper's posts. It seems to work well... Sip of gritty Tailwind with a plain water chaser.

I think that was the only pic i took that day. And that was just a short 2 min HAB coming from Cold Springs over to San Juan Creek Trail. It was loose, I think I walked it that day.

Hey guys, I wish I had the stamina to do this one but I am not there anymore. I just heard about the Creek to Peak ride that may interest you crazy epic all day long guys! See attached flyer, it is right up your ally.

I was just talking to my wife about wanting to do this ride again... however my fitness has fallen off to the point that you posting it for THIS Saturday is just not the right timing for me.

I highly recommend this for anyone that is even somewhat intrigued by some of J and Faust's bigger rides to step up to the plate here. There are good guys to ride with when fitness levels deviate, and this route is fun - painful no doubt, but more fun here than in some of their rides ;)

That is interesting... I'll give that one some thought. It's my birthday week, so I'll be looking for a "special" ride.

This is turning into a good group... @Runs with Scissors- I know that you have your daughter's injury to deal with now, but if you can swing some time away, this is a great route. Even part way to Trabuco is a great time and one of the Santa Ana classics.

After our recent experience with "small chance of rain" in the Santa Anas, I'll have the rain coat in the pack. Maybe some extra arm warmers and dry gloves... Just in case.
