The wall on main divide from holy jim to trabuco

 

It may be easy for some but the wall after going up holy jim...well i walk it..

 

There are several spots on Main Divide that carry "the wall" name. Long steep and loose climbs... After we finish he HJ climb, we'll have a few minutes of up and down on Main Divide before we hit the wall. It's a HAB on the single speed...

And I'm out. Just too many irons in the air to pull this one off. Even free tacos can't get me there unfortunately...

They are dropping off like flies. (I just can't seem to get over those damned flies at the top of LHJ.) The group is shrinking...

 

Rode it once. My feet were cold. I think I cleaned it. Then rescued @Cougar from his frozen feet by loaning him some socks. Good times!

If I knew you were going to be serenading us like a mariachi, I would have found a way to make it happen!

 

Think I'll skip this one. I need to catch up on some sleep, and this is about a 45 minute drive WITH the toll road.

 

I'm going to make contact when I get into town. I will not arrive until after noontime, so hopefully there will be some of youz who will want to double dip.

 

What are you thinking as a double dip? Your answer could greatly affect my order at Taco Plaza after the completion of ride #1.

 

I will have only a few hours to ride, so think quality over quantity. And I'll be on a 34 pound hardtail, so eat lotsa tacos and drink lotsa beers!

I'm at cooks corner of ya wanna double dip a mellow #2

 

Not nearly as many that dropped 2 weeks ago for the Skyline Takeover ride! Several people bailed out of that ride in the last 24 hrs; some hadn't even committed in the first place! No shrinkage on this OC ride; unless it gets a little chilly on the descent!

 

Bummer! We left right about 2:00!

 

I'm sure a full ride report will be forthcoming, but I was correct. @Mikie didn't even notice the wall until after he had climbed it. I told him he just had three more hills to go and he was like "three more hills and then the wall, right?" I laughed - "no that WAS the wall!"

 

Just waiting for the ride report on this one. After seeing @Faust29's Strava and his ride not equalling the others and the picture of some thug flipping the double birds I'm sure there's some good stories.
