ODI Rogues work for me so I stopped trying others. No issues with the outside lock/clamp, my brake levers and shifter are positioned so that when I am riding my hands are in the center of my grips. Only time I am gripping the outsides is while climbing and the clamp isn't noticeable.

I think my swollen jointed sausage fingers need a thicker grip, the Ruffians on my HT feel super thin.

Tried ODI Rogue and Specialized Contour since it has lock rings on the inside, then went back to Ergon again.

ODI lock-ons for me. Oddly enough I wear a XXL-XXXL glove and I prefer the feel of a smaller grip.

I'm liking the "ergo" type grips. I've been using these ESI Fit CR for about a year now and like them quite a bit. It took a few rides to get used to them though. I have some Ergon GE1 on another bike. I grip the ends of the bar...since these grips have no flanges or lock on rings at the ends...it lets me use all the bar.
