I have been looking for a seat bag that works with my Gravity dropper post. I had been using an old Jannd seat bag secured with toe straps for storage under the seat. It worked but I know there must be a better way.
    Did I find it?

    Behold the Lezyne M-Caddy.

As you can see, the bag does not touch the seatpost. It rides on an interlocking composite clamp that attaches to the seat rails of my very comfortable Silverado race saddle.

The seat clamp securely holds the bag, which is reinforced in critical areas.

The bag is small, only 30 c.i. I am able to carry a 29er tube, tire lever wrapped in duct tape, der. cable, patch kit and boots with various small parts inside, and a multi tool in the neoprene pouch on the outside. There are small pockets inside that are practically useless.

So far, no issues. Survived 3 or 4 rides, but not any real crashes yet.
If you have issues with your ass bag then give this a try.

Just do not try it with a full-suspension rig...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention it is mounted on a hardtail. If you are riding a full suspension you got worse things to worry about.

Having tried a similar Topeak offering to your Lezyne, I will await your review after having it for a while. The attachment on the Topeak broke off while my son was racing at Bonelli some years back, so I am reluctant to risk losing a bag and it's contents again. It will not surprise me if the Lezyne is more durable, but in the meantime, I will use the 'Bandit" that attaches to my Specialized saddles. It's not a bag. More like a strap with features ;~)

Durability is the key and only time and crashes will tell.

I work at a Specialized dealer and I have checked out the Bandit-it is just too minimalist for my needs. I'm not racing so I tend to carry a little bit more than the Bandit can handle.

I will be keeping a wary eye on this bag, and some backup straps in my pocket!

Hey @Daddy Dirtbag ! You are pretty happy with this? I have eyed it. I'm looking for something I can use for 2 to 2 1/2 hour rides where I don't wear a pack. Something that will carry a tube, tool, and RD Hanger.
    Thanks for the post.

I started using a hip pack for my shorter rides. It's called Das Radpack from a company called High Above. Not too big, not too small, -works perfect. Don't even know it's there. Really high quality too

It works well enough to hold the essentials:

    1 @ 29 x 3.0" tube (they are HUGE)
    1@ tire lever
    1@ CO2 cartridge
    1@ inflator

I can weasel other stuff into there if I am creative. With a regular size 29" tube, I could weasel more stuff into there. As it is, it works best if I fold the plus size tube just right. Sits nice and compact under the saddle. Still, I would like to see a bag that utilizes those mounts as I would feel like stuff was more secure.

That may be my next "bag". That's similar to the approach I took at the Temecula race a few times, just without the actual bag! Wrap everything inside the spare tube and strap it to the bike.

    Thanks for the link...

I use the awesome strap from www.backcountryresearch.com on all my bikes. It's pretty minimal and holds a tire lever, tube and co2 up tightly under the seat. I also use their tool pouch to carry the other bits I need and toss it in a pocket. On my Mojo, I use a small pouch that mounts on the lower bottle mount since I don't like carrying a bottle there for the extra bits from Tallac House. Www.tallachouse.com. This is for rides under a couple of hours. I'll begrudgingly use a pack for longer rides.
