Its time to session Turnbull Canyon

 

Ummmm, isn't this something you typically know before you get the bill?

 

Circuitous negotiation that began several weeks ago. Them with the bait and switch early on, us walking away. Them coming back a month later realizing ours was the best offer, us saying screw you (to their general direction), us coming back with the screw you lowball counter weeks later. Them shining us on. More weeks go by, us bumping it up into a more reasonable but still substantially lower than original offer. Counter, counter, etc... Us figuring they would screw us again in the end and then the call mid-margarita yesterday while eating lunch at El Cholo, congratulations -- we made it to the finish line. Oh, more margaritas.

Money? Oh that. I guess we are paying what it is worth since that is what we settled on. But it was the "we walk from here on" number, and our realtor kicked in a not insignificant amount out of his share of the commish to get this thing done and move on.

Now we figure out what it is like to pull up roots after 35 yrs, almost to the day.

 

@blitex, are you not the member who had issues with home break-ins? Assuming I got that right, double congrats on the new pad!

 

Yep, hoping it's just far enough away that the tweaker can't find me on his skateboard.
