I've been watching videos on youtube by an earthquake specialist. He does a daily report/forecast and he is quite accurate. It's unsettling in fact.

Something pretty scary is happening in Kilauea right now. The lava pool is draining. It's already dropped a good 300 feet. The last time it drained so rapidly, Japan had it's major earthquake (2011) a few days later. Strange how these things are all tied together.

 

It's like there's just a crust floating on a molten ball!

I felt two earthquakes earlier, Hawaii isn't the only place shaking

 

What is supposed to be a great book by local seismo-celeb Lucy Jones. I haven't read it, but it's on my list. I remember her from '92 when she was on with her kids, cool lady!

Riverside County is going through a "slow-slip" period. Scary times.

Watching the Angels game last night, there was a guy in the center field stands dressed as a Storm Trooper. He was keeping an eye on Mike Trout.

 

One out in the San Gorgonio Pass just shook the house pretty good!

Felt a little somethin' here in Laguna at 4:50 am. Wiggled the cabinets a little.

 

4.5 magnitude in Cabazon, CA. Where the dinosaurs and Morongo Casino are along the I-10 freeway.

Felt it here, too. Good jolt.

Only the uninformed pay retail. At the very minimum, buy from an out of state retailer and/or buy through Active Junky. For example, I buy a lot of my stuff thru Mister Lost who I found on Pinkbike. Everything is at least 10% off (SRAM), some 15% (Race Face) and none of it is taxed and I always get free shipping. I also scour Pinkbike looking for deals *all the time* and will even buy stuff I don't need at that moment to save money. For example, I found a brand new "take off" X01 Eagle cassette for almost 50% off retail.

 

My daughter's elementary school was on lockdown this morning because of a boat.

That's unusual.
