Based on my CO research, we should be in good shape there. And I would hope, as the gourmet cannabis capital of the world, CA's methods and product will influence the legal commercial market.

Recreational and medical are two separate entities here. Medical reputes to be more stringently regulated throughout, and one would surmise, better product. Not sure if that will be the case in CA, but in any event I cannot discern between excellent and excellent. I think those days of four-finger ten dollar sacks are destined for the memory bin, @rossage

What the frack was that thing in the southwestern sky??? It looked like a rocket.. with a huge tail, a small piece left behind and the main section with a huge white flare. All lit up in the evening sky. Holy cow!?!

LOS ANGELES (KABC) --
Did you see something bright in the sky? You may have seen the launch of the 18th, and final mission of the year for SpaceX Friday night.

The launch happened moments ago right here in Southern California at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

This mission sends 10 satellites into orbit, using another used Falcon 9 rocket for the flight.

SpaceX says this is the fourth flight for long-time customer Iridium.

Both companies are under contract to launch a total of 75 satellites to provide communications services for regions all over the world.

 

Vandenberg testing again? I was taking a nap in the cab of my package car.

Saw it.... Space X .... Or missile defense that's pretty much the same direction they launch when they test the missile defense/ interceptors.

Pretty much completely stopped everyone at the gas station I was at.

Watched the solid booster burn out then drop back in and burn bright red.

There’s a “most popular” section on the OCR website that pulls popular stories so old ones make it on the list when they are viewed by more people again. The one about sexy Vietnamese cafe waitresses seems to be the most popular.

 

It's dated from September 30, 2016. Which feels like a 100 years ago.

OC Register is now owned by the same outfit as the Long Beach Press Telegram (and probably others). Neither is worth the paper it's printed on anymore. The sports section is thicker than the news. I buy the Press Telegram Monday - Friday solely because it contains three crossword puzzles that I do on my lunch break (and it includes the NY Times Xword), and on Tuesday - Friday there are Op-Ed pages to chortle over, so there's that. OCR has gone down the tubes and is now officially birdcage fodder.

Yeah, I know what newspapers are up against in the real world. That's more a reflection upon us, the non-reading public, than the newspaper industry in general. Yes there are bigger issues with reliability and non-bias in reporting, but that is still less than their abidcation of their raison d'etre."
