Episode 2

 

Rather interesting choices in music there. Fun watch and a nice edit Brian. Cool to see all the different camera angles and varying line choices we all took. I know you had a crapload of footage to wade through on this one. Fun to sorta relive that day and makes me want to go back.

 

Thanks! Yeah, it's a bit off kilter.. but in the end it works. Wanted something different, but recognizable. These guys are great!

I had a Sh!t ton of technical difficulties mixing all the different footage. Adobe threw all kinds of bitch fits along the way. Next time we need to make sure all the cameras are recording with the same settings.

Just another Finnish Bluegrass band playing remakes of popular hard-rock songs. You've seen one, you've seen them all!

 

I actually edited to completely different music, then decided to go in a new direction. I knew of these guys and started poking around. Aces High tonally fit the existing edit, and the lyrics play along nicely I thought. Self Esteem was a bit tongue and cheek, but the pacing worked.

For some reason polka and bluegrass have good tempo for bike clips.

 

Well that was fun!
Had to watch it several times to get the soundtrack to grow on me. Good edit, and effects. Makes me want to go back and hit the whole enchilada withOUT doing a superman over the bars... for once. Porcupine has got me every time.

Glad to be able to relive my highlight of 2016.
Incredible to think back on the temperature swings we went through. The heat on day one, the wind and the sporadic rain. Especially the horizontal snow as we rode around the base of the La Salles, the rain on upper porcupine and the sunshine that would brighten our spirits.
