Bike for Bender- Hell Ride!

Hmmm...sounds like I would need to find a room to sleep in, or a tent.

 

That sounds like a great adventure day! I've done similar but on a smaller scale, taking the bus up to Crafton, riding around, then riding back down to Redlands. But I guess then it's more of a motor sport!

 

My dog may have changed my plans, I might be out on basically everything except the 8 hour until next year

Looks like I'll be out doing Trail Work on Holy Jim that day.

 

Just to reiterate one more time, this is the best MTB event in SoCal! Not only is the SART a premier destination ride, but riding the organized H.R. event makes it into a day-long party. Invite a friend (or two!) and get out there!

 

I forgot all about this! Glad someone bumped it. Not sure if I can go yet, but I definitely can't if I forget!

It is...just did it last weekend starting from Big Bear side. Dark to dark, 14 hour day....

BB to 7 Oaks would be much more doable in a reasonable time. To join Hell Ride just pedal up Seven Oaks Rd to South Fork.

 

So it looks like I’ll be self-shuttling this Saturday. Any northerners wanna join in?

I'd be up for it... I can carry me + 3.

 

I won't be able to commit until later in the week. If there's still a seat available I'm in.

 

I could take 3 + me. My hand won’t let me do the trail work, and my ankle won’t let me hike that far....so I’d be up for the ride.

 

LOL! It's funny how are body parts will do one thing but not another.

 

I learned after my hike up to Gray’s Peak after the Grizzly....and dealing with a tender ankle for 2.5 weeks that I can’t hike like that. Trail work is going to entail hiking down Holy Jim from the top 1/2 way, then hiking back up.

 

Vince and I will need a shuttle but can't commit until tonight. Will let you know for sure by tonight. Can reimburse $$$. If spots get taken no worries.

 

I sense a plan forming.

 

Was going to self-shuttle, but will be working the check-in table which gets a spot on the bus. I don't mind the initial drive up, but going back up to get the car adds nearly two hours onto a loooooong day.

My fourth year doing the event. Will see you all out there on the Burner.. on the first bus shuttle.

 

I can drive back up to fetch vehicles with their respective drivers if Jose and I and possibly Burt can get a ride up. Otherwise I can take people and bikes up. Then I’ll need to bum off a ride back to the top to get my truck.
