Last summer I bought a new Scott Spark RC, and I wanted to fall in love with this world-class race bike, but I never got totally comfortable on it.

I decided that the bike need a dropper post to help me lower my center of gravity on the descents.
After shopping online for a dropper I decided that the Magura Vyron might be what I'm looking for.
The main reason was the number of cables/hoses already on the bike (Front and rear brakes, shifter, fork lockout, shock remote) left no room to run another one cable.

I found the Magura Vyron on eBay
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Magura-USA...hash=item3af41895a3:m:mSuAfnoD-57Z4BzgXwhcNww.

    The price was right.
The overall weight was reasonable (600 grams).
the online reviews didn't hate it.
    I gave it a shot.

    The install was a breeze.
The linking of the remote wasn't as smooth, but I got it to work.
First ride impression: It works, but differently.
I'm sure I can get used to it eventually, but the remote is a pain so far. The last thing anyone would like to do before hitting the decent starts looking for the right button
I think they offer a cap that increases the size of the sweet spot. Any improvement would be great.

Other then that, a simple double-click activate the valve, and if you seat down the dropper drop, and if you stand up it goes up (da..) Trying to stop it somewhere in the mid-stroke take some practice. Hopefully, it will hold up.

E drop, I hate it already.

I like it. Now wait a bit for them to come out with version 2 and I am in. Less cable is always good in my mind.
@Sidewalk would blow through that battery in the 1st 5 miles.

My finger is on the trigger, as much of a no brainer as a dropper it’s self! Or an internal route? On bike dicount it’s $350, 2018 model has worked out some of the bugs. Sweet!

+10 on the E13 dropper!! Not a single problem with it in the few months I have used it. Can't say that with the Reverb.

My bike is outdated, those look like internal routeing, I’m done with cable, always getting sticky and having to change them, a new bike is coming in the not too distant future, but I’m still keeping my beloved sb-66 , so interchanging the dropper will be dare I say it? Easy easy easy!

I too would buy this dropper in a heartbeat for my 2012 Yeti, but as well it will not take on an internal routed dropper. :( Cathy is ready for a dropper on her bike and I am going to switch my Gravity Dropper over to her bike. That thing is so reliable, but so dang ugly! :gag:

What to do.... what to do.....:coffee:
