Alright guys... looks like I jumped the gun on the purchase and it’s not exactly what I was hoping for. The bike is super fast and fun, but I think I want a XC bike instead. I’d be willing to trade for a nice carbon XC bike... specifically a Santa Cruz Highball 27.5

I’ve only ridden the bike twice at the Fullerton Loop.

Will not come with cages or pedals.

FYI, there is a lot of cross racing over the next few weeks. Even if you don't want to race it (which you should), you can bring it to advertise and heckle the racers.

Or if you are interested, I will race it for you and make it look REALLY bad in the A group

Why are they racing on grass? Does the association/sponsors that held the event have to pay for new grass?

 

CX races are on mixed surfaces; some grass, some dirt, some sand, some pavement. That course happens to be mostly grass. Promoters pay a fee to use the park. Maybe sometimes pay for damage. Cities and parks like the income. Some, like Moreno Valley; even help construct terrain to make courses. Often, after a season; the grass where the course is grows back better than the grass just next to it.

Back to the OP - good luck with the sale. If only I had some $ and my truck hadn't just taken a dump.

Unfortunately they missed my wheelie, but they did get me around 3:00 goofing off.

I did the 8 hour the day before, so I was spent. I did one hard lap for Ben's video (I was on camera 2), but chilled the rest of the time.

 

Loved their goofing on Don's... that just cracked me up.

 

CX is a blast. I have not made any this year, but may try to catch the last couple.

It's so insanely hard. For those that race OTH- CX racing makes OTH seem like a leisurely stroll in the park.

 

Griffith Park this weekend! I'm not sure which day I'm going (trying for both).

My race yesterday averaged at over 90% of my max HR, and I think I hit a new max (can't remember) hitting 190 at the finish line with a sprint to the end, over taking the next rider by .04 seconds!

 

I'm pretty awesome myself...well, back when I did race.
