Decided to follow Josh AKA @Sidewalk with the camera on yesterday's ride, and he decided to show off, hucking off of all sorts of things. Don't usually ride this fast... thought it was amusing just how much of a headstart he gave others before taking off.

I feel like digging out a chainguide, so I can abuse my bike through the rocks some more without winding up with a dropped chain, cause that was fun. Makes me want to open up my riding some more too.

I love the commentary, ha ha!

Definitely, you go through too many rocks to go without a guide.

I usually just do that stuff behind you, as normally I am following you. But I am still showing off, just to myself :)

I need my full squish back...

Yea, I thought you were a madman for hucking to flat at 6:30... shocked... not even much leg suspension travel considering the raised seatpost :notworthy:

I rolled through it and that was enough to drop my chain.

Dayum.. dude's fast and stylish! Good job trying to keep pace too, Dan. Looks like a lot of fun, and I suspect that you and Josh put on a "how to" clinic for most of the other riders out there.

@Varaxis - is that bell really as big as it looked in the video?

It hangs below the bar like a mini cowbell, with a lever/cable to retract the striker inside. Think it's made by Timber. Found it on Jenson.

Not as big as say a 40mm stem in overall dimensions, but it does hit my knee pads on occasion.

Edit: Unless you mean that light head in the front center (MagicShine MJ-880).

Dan is one of my favorite people to ride with. He rides a lot like me, with a child like curiosity. Except he is smarter then I am. Though, I've seen him tackle an obstacle multiple times that I am not willing to try.

I think the bell might look bigger since he has the gyro mount which really pushes the camera far forward closer to the bars.

I'm in for this evening; be @ FarmerBoys by 6. I'm bringing the slow climber (i.e., me), so maybe have some reading material for the hilltops. Do we need lights? :D

Two minor crashes (@0:06 & @6:55) and one save (@10:10) caught on film.

Total coincidence that YouTube chose a thumbnail that shows the moment just before minor crash #2 happened.

Figured if you can do Rabbit Run, or whatever that one with the big rocky stuff at the bottom was, you could do this bit of chunk.
