Ok all you Mother-Fathers let's ride local Sunday and beat the heat. It will be a great way to get a ride in early, and get home in time for more important things like BBQ, Beers and our Family.

Bonelli is one of the best XC type rides around. It is home to the US Cup as well as UCI-HC racing, Kenda Cup series, and much more. There is a wide variety of terrain, mostly non-technical buff ST with fire road climbs, double-track and plenty of short, steep, punchy climbs to be had.

I plan to do around 20 miles at a pretty good pace. The best news is there are bail-outs everywhere, and no pressure to leave early or late. Many of you I have ridden with have been there, perhaps some of you have not. It's more XC and an HT or short travel bike is all you need. Please post up if you are interested. Me too, and I did the ride. Or part of it at least.

 

Thanks Tom for coming out. Great job on the trails! A quick recap; it was pretty warm but not too bad as we got a fairly early start. Typical loose over hard-pack, and we took a few quick breaks. We did about 9 miles together then Tom took off for home and I continued on. I really like Bonelli as there is a little bit of everything. Below is pretty typical of my rides there. My Garmin tracked me at 22 miles. Unfortunately, most of that was from forgetting to turn it off so I got the ride home in the car too. Fun morning, interesting trails in places I hadn't been. Thanks, Ken, for showing me around. You really know it well out there. Hope I can return the favor around my regular places, anytime.
