Time to free up some cash for the next bike. I was hoping my kid would take to riding my "old" bike, but he didn't. Bike has been sitting in the garage for a year, so it's time to sell.

    $SOLD

Frame: 2012.5 Santa Cruz Tallboy v1 Carbon, 100mm, 29er, Blue, Size Large (fits 5’-9” to 6’-1”)

Fork: 2012 Fox 32 Float 29 Factory Fit RLC 120mm (just fully serviced by Jax Bikes-Murrieta)

Shock: 2016 Fox Float DPS Kashima

Wheels: Carbon rims (22mm ID) on DT Swiss 350 Hubs (1675 grams), 100x15 TA front and 142x12 TA rear, setup tubeless

    Cassette: SRAM XX1 11-speed 10-42

Crank: SRAM XX1 carbon 175mm w/30T direct mount chainring

    Rear Shifter: SRAM X01 11-speed

    Rear Derailleur: SRAM GX 11-speed

Brakes: Shimano XT with 180/160mm rotors

Seat Post: KS Lev Ti Dropper Post 150mm

    Saddle: WTB Volt

    Headset: Works Components -1.0 deg

Bars: Ritchey WCS Carbon Trail 740mm

    Stem: Thompson Elite X4 80mm x 0 deg

    Weight: 26 lbs 4 oz

This bike is in great condition. Normal paint chips on the rear triangle and rims. One small nick in a fork stanchion.

    Detail pictures available upon request.

The bike is currently built up as a trail bike, but it could easily be turned into a 25 lb XC machine with a few lighter parts.

I've seen this bike – it's a beauty, in pristine shape, nicely spec'ed...and it goes pretty fast :geek:

Can I ask how much you ended up selling for? Ballpark? I'm shopping for a Tallboy right now to upgrade from my Rockhopper. I'm looking at the exact frame with a really similar build. Any info would help. I'm having a hard time coming up with a fair price for a 2012.

Plus, what he got for it a year ago, is more than what you can get for one this year.

I've seen these go as low at $1000, or as high as $2000......really just depends on the the buyer.

Yep...doesn't matter what the seller thinks it's worth. It only matters what any potential buyer thinks it's worth.

I sold it for $2300. Any less than that and I was gonna just sell the frame and repurpose the rest on a new frame.
