When I take my bike to work, I would take it in to my office. Not so it won’t get stolen, but to get it out of the blazing Antelope Valley sun. So, I’m looking for a cover I can put on it while it sits on my 1UpUSA rack until I leave from work to go for my ride.
I have done some searching but have not found what I’m looking for.

Be great if it had like cups built in it that slip on the ends of the Grips with elastic to draw it tight as well as a way to hook on the back of the seat to have a 3 point cling to it. Then it could drape down to cover the bike. That way you don’t lose it in the wind. I would take it off while driving...
Any suggestions? Or is that my next imtbgear product!

I know how hot and dry it gets up there. Seems like it would just bake under a cover, outdoors. And then you have that nasty wind trying to blow the cover away. And that dust and sand that can come with the wind. I would bring it indoors somehow or another, out of the extremes. Sorry, I know that doesn't help, but if it was me,...

I used to do the same thing and used a cheap motorcycle cover. They are designed to fit over something with two wheels and handlebars so it worked pretty well.

I’m on the inside now meaning I have to go through a turnstile to get to my office. For the last 3 1/2 years I was located in an office out in the parking lot so we could interview people without having to badge or escort them. No office option now. Thanks!

Oh, and you nailed it on the AV weather conditions!

I have such a simple idea in my head. One size fit all, held on with stretchy material between seat and each end of the bars.

    Is your idea ventilated/breathable?

    Does it zipper open/close?

Is it satin silver in color?

Well, it’s stretchy in a triangle fashion between the Grips and the saddle, then simply drapes down (I guess it could be a floral print) on both sides of the bike with enough to cover the upper half of the tires. It could be strapless and low cut but I don’t think she would want to parade about the parking lot like a whore...
I’m the whore both cheap and easy...:coffee:

The more open to the air it is (not sealed), the more of a parachute/sail it will become if/when it is subject to direct wind storms. Not even sure straps could hold it in place (for long) unless it is completely breathable. But to make it breathable so that it doesn't act like a sail (heavy mesh density?), just how much protection is it going to offer from the elements? Much thought this product will require...

Perhaps the easy route here (and longer lasting than heavy duty trash bags) is an oversized tarp that you can spend a few minutes bungee cording down around the bike when your car is parked (not to be driven with the tarp attached!)?

Cover with beach towel. Rubber bands over grips and saddle. When not in use it can double as a gear-up rug.
