Ibis Mojo HD3 special special blend. Full SRAM NX drivetrain (yeah it's a little heavy but it flat out works, and when it wears out you can upgrade to something blingier), Fox Factory 36 RC2 fork and a brand new 2018 Fox X2 shock. Kashima coating! Size is XL. Color is 917 Blue.

Frame is 12x142, but you can upgrade the swingarm to boost by purchasing a new swingarm from Ibis.

Frame is fully covered in an Invisiframe kit, so very little signs of wear on the bike. I tried to show any damage. The yoke has a little scratch. The rest of the nicks are just to the Invisiframe. Always well maintained, kept clean and lubed.

KS Lev post was warrantied and this one works perfectly.

Rear tire of your choice: Maxxis Minion DHF 2.5 WT 3C Exo, Maxxis Minion DHRII 2.3 EXO, Maxxis Ardent 2.4 EXO, or WTB Breakout 2.5 Tough/Fast. Both tires are mounted tubeless with Stan's.

Not included: Fabric Scoop saddle, front fender, water bottle cage, Thomson stem.

Seriously though I wish I could keep both. The Ripley is perfect for 90% of my local rides. The Ripley handles the gnarly stuff just fine, the HD3 just lets you do it faster. The HD3 would be preferable on the other 10%, but, I haven't ridden anything off menu in Laguna in over a year. Went to Summit once last year. Barely make it to Mammoth. If I were doing those more often I could maybe make a case but, since ones gotta go...

Will the this fit a guy that's a big 6'4''?

 

Yes for sure. Although it's not ultra long like some bikes, I like the more compact cockpit.

 

@dustyyoungblood , if your friend (or anyone else interested) wants, I can put an almost new Float X on it for $150 less.

90% chance I found a buyer. My brother got a better-than-fair settlement check for his stolen POS 2004 Heckler. He demo'd an HD3 last November here in Laguna and loved it. He's 6'2" - so perfect.

Kind of confusing. They cut him a check for $1900 for his 2002 beat to hell Heckler. They also said they would cover the difference if buying a replacement bike that is similar. Catch is, it had to be from a dealer. There really are no more 5" travel, aluminum single-pivot 26ers to buy new, so he is buying something he hopes Allstate will consider "similar."

Honestly, that was a VERY good insurance settlement, even if he doesn't get another penny.

 

Thanks for the 411! He's definitely coming out ahead, that's great! Definitely in his favor to buy new. But figuring out what they consider as similar is quite the trick, isn't it!

 

He took a gamble. If they don't kick in another penny, he gets a great bike for $1900 out of pocket, plus the $1900 they gave him.

BTW - the new Mach 6 is FINALLY proportioned in such a way that I could add it to the short list of desirable bikes for me. Until now, the only Pivot I could remotely consider is the new Firebird, and it's a bit overkill as an "only" trailbike.

 

Yeah, hopefully he can point to the SC site and say they don't make it anymore, and the new one has two wheels, what more do you want!?!?!?

 

It is the right size. I know that I would enjoy riding this bike on the right trail on the right day (Mammoth)....., but I currently have 4 MTB in the garage.
